- Sponsor a fellow. Your $2,000 donation pays the full cost of a week-long residency at Cave Canem's annual retreat.
- Scholarship fund. A $500 contribution underwrites the cost of room and board for one retreat residency.
- Your gift in any amount, earmarked for the scholarship fund, helps provide room-and-board assistance for 75% of retreat participants.
- Poetry Prize Circle. A contribution to the Cave Canem Poetry Prize helps advance the careers of deserving African American poets while building and diversifying the field of American literature.
- General Operating Support. These undesignated dollars help keep Cave Canem fiscally sound. General operating support pays for rent, staff salaries, insurance, technology, professional services, printing, travel, office supplies and the many daily expenses associated with running an organization.
- Tribute Gifts. You may wish to commemorate a beloved family member, friend or respected colleague with a tribute gift. Such a donation is appropriate for celebratory occasions or marking a career milestone, and is a meaningful way to honor the memory of an individual who has passed. Tribute gifts may be earmarked for general operating support, retreat scholarships, the Cave Canem Poetry Prize or another program of your choice.
Matching Gifts. If you work for or serve on the board of a company that will match your gift to Cave Canem, please contact the matching gifts officer and arrange to double the value of your donation.
