Virginia Center for the Creative Arts Residency for Cave Canem Fellows

In May 2009, in partnership with Cave Canem, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts inaugurated a cohort residency for graduate Cave Canem fellows. Fellows have an opportunity to live and work in community with one another, while at the same time enjoying access to the larger VCCA environment and resources.

Established in 1971, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) is an international working retreat for writers, visual artists and composers. Located on a 12-acre hilltop in Amherst County, VA, approximately 160 miles southwest of Washington, DC, the VCCA provides residential fellowships of two weeks to two months where artists may work free from the distractions and responsibilities of day-to-day life.

2011 Fellows in Residence: Holly Bass, Nicole Terez Dutton & Juliet P. Howard.

Deadline to Apply: January 30, 2012. Cave Canem Fellows interested in applying may contact Cave Canem for guidelines: amandajohnston@ccpoets.org
